2 January 2018 BIG NEWS!

Today was pedicure/manicure day....but that is not the big news....

This place was at Kennedy square and is Mary's favorite place for manicures and pedicures.  They have one room where you can put your feet in a fairly large tub and the fish in the tub will nibble all of your dead skin off.  Mary said that she did it in Cambodia and it kind of tickles.  I told her I thought I might do it when I bring USA grandchildren to Peru next time...we'll all try it at the same time!

Kennedy Square is great.  There is a nice park and easy underground parking.  The Ripley department store is much nicer than the one at the big mall I went to the other night.  And there is a WONDERFUL sandwich place as well as a Starbucks....just doesn't get any better than that!  I took a cab from there to meet Mary at Clinica Delgado.  Alberto is almost well from the virus that he had picked up, but we are being careful and I am getting to do the time with Mary in the Neo natal clinic.

OK for the BIG news:

Both boys are out of the incubators!  They are in free standing cribs just like the full term babies!  It is one of the most important steps to make before the baby is released to go home.

I took a few photos of Jack in the new crib.  When I left, Galileo had not yet been moved....but here is Jack trying to "get out of this place":

And even more important than that information is the fact that the doctor who does the neurological exam came in a day early and did it while Mary and I were there.  He was a very attractive, young doctor and spoke very good English, so he included me in the exam.  He said what we hoped to hear:  Normal! Normal! Normal! Normal!  It was a very good day!
